Strategies for reforming American immigration policy to accelerate New Jersey’s economic recovery will be explored during a free online event April 30 sponsored by NJBIA, the New Jersey Business Immigration Coalition (NJBIC) and Einstein’s Alley, a nonprofit economic development initiative.
“Opening the International Talent Pipeline” will feature immigration experts, political leaders, and industry representatives who will offer different industries’ perspectives on the importance of employment-based immigration policies. Speakers and panelists will update attendees on the latest information on immigration reform in Washington, D.C. and the impact on New Jersey employers.
Jorge Lima, senior vice president of policy at Americans for Prosperity, will be the keynote speaker at the 90-minute online event that begins at 11 a.m., Friday, April 30.
Panelists will include Vicki Clark, president, of the Cape May County Chamber of Commerce; Lori Jenssen, executive director of the New Jersey Nursery & Landscape Association; Ali Bokhari, Global Mobility manager, Unilever Corporation; Miriam Feldblum, executive director of the Presidents’ Alliance on Higher Education and Immigration; Neil Dornbaum, partner and co-chair of Corporate Immigration & Global Mobility at Connell-Foley; and Theresa Cardinal Brown, managing director, Immigration and Cross-Border Policy at the Bipartisan Policy Center.
Other participants include NJBIA President & CEO Michele Siekerka; Einstein’s Alley Executive Director Katherine Kish; NJBIC steering committee member Ryan Stark Lilienthal, Esq., of Hartington King English; and NJBIC Coordinator Nicholas Montalto.
