Wings for Growth, a nonprofit that has been empowering working women for nearly a decade by connecting them to C-Suite mentors, is expanding its mission with the launch of the Global Mentorship Institute to multiply the impact of next-generation leaders and their mentors.

GMI will focus on mentoring women who are ready to take on roles in C-Suites and boardrooms. The organization is seeking mentors who have a proven record of success (and failures) themselves to fully support their mentees. Mentors will become part of the mentoring masterclass with other esteemed senior level executives and will also contribute by presenting their mentoring best practices in podcasts, webinars, and fireside chats.

GMI will build on Wings for Growth’s flagship leadership development program, which has already delivered seven cohorts of 97 graduates, 66 mentors who are C-suite executives, and 21 “champions” experienced in project management who facilitate connections between mentees, mentors, and the WINGS management team. All graduates report they are now confident to take on “stretch roles” that will advance their careers.

The Wings Signature Program is an academically accredited 10-month results-based program where mentees learn how to move from middle management to the C-suite from WINGS mentors, who are all successful businesspeople. Mentors must also possess key leadership qualities, such as self-awareness, resilience, a growth mindset, and the ability to listen without judgment.

“The multi-year success of our flagship program has created an urgency to have a pipeline of strong mentors globally,” the organization stated.
