Marc H. Morial, president and CEO of the National Urban League, will be the keynote speaker at the Capital Region Minority Chamber of Commerce’s 2022 Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Summit on Friday, Sept. 16 at Mercer County Community College’s conference center.

Morial, who has led the nation’s largest historic civil rights and urban advocacy organization since 2003, will speak about finding opportunities that help small minority-owned businesses succeed. A graduate of Georgetown University Law Center, and the University of Pennsylvania, Morial is recognized as a leading voice on the national stage for diversity, equity and inclusion.

Honored as one of the 100 most influential Black Americans by Ebony magazine, Morial has also been recognized as one of the Top 50 nonprofit leaders by NonProfit Times and was inducted into the International Civil Rights Walk of Fame in Atlanta in 2011. Morial also served as mayor of New Orleans from 1994-2002 and is author of “The Gumbo Coalition,” a collection of leadership lessons that help changemakers inspire, unite and achieve.

The DEI summit begins at 7:30 a.m. at the Conference Center at Mercer, located at Mercer County Community College, 1200 Old Trenton Road, Princeton Junction. The Capital Region Minority Chamber of Commerce is presenting this event in partnership with Ascend, the largest Pan-Asian business professional membership organization in North America; the Lower Bucks County Chamber of Commerce; and the Middlesex County Chamber of Commerce.
