Eligible small businesses seeking to upgrade old inefficient HVAC, plumbing fixtures and appliances can receive grants to cover 75% of the cost of these projects under a new $180 million state program that will be explained during a free informational webinar on Nov. 4.
New Jersey’s School and Small Business Energy Efficiency Program can help businesses and schools repair or replace inefficient HVAC systems, plumbing fixtures, and appliances to meet efficiency and health standards. Three quarters of the program funds are reserved for schools and small businesses located in under-served communities.
To be eligible, small businesses must be New Jersey-based, independently owned and operated with fewer than 100 full-time employees and annual gross revenues under $12 million. The businesses must also be state-certified as a women-owned or minority-owned business.
Small businesses that want to apply for a grant can learn more by registering for one of two free informational webinars on Thursday, Nov. 4 that will be offered at 11 a.m. and 6:30 p.m.
