Small businesses and U.S. manufacturers of all sizes that want to get their shelf-ready products on the shelves of Walmart stores have until Friday to submit their applications to participate in Walmart’s 9th annual Open Call event.

Open Call, Walmart’s largest sourcing event, is part of the giant retailer’s efforts to support American jobs with a $350 billion investment in items made, grown, or assembled in the U.S. with the aim of bringing more American-made products to communities nationwide.

This year the event has been extended to two days, June 28-29, with participants choosing virtual or in-person pitch meetings with a Walmart or Sam’s Club buyer. More than 2,000 companies have already registered more than 6,000 items they hope to present to buyers through an exclusive early access period offered to Marketplace sellers.

Products must be made, grown or assembled in the U.S. to be considered for the Open Call 2022 event. Product pitches are 30-minute one-one-one meetings to secure deals ranging from a handful of local stores to supplying hundreds of stores and Sam’s Clubs as well as Walmart.com and Walmart Marketplace.

Walmart is also offering mentoring sessions to all applicants registering for the event, providing suppliers with the tools needed to successfully sell on Walmart’s virtual and physical shelves.
