Nearly 10% of adults with full-time jobs have a substance use disorder, but most won’t get the treatment they need because of the stigma associated with alcohol and drug use.

At 10 a.m., Thursday, July 28, experts from the RWJBarnabas Health Institute for Prevention and Recovery (IFPR) will hold an informative webinar for employers about how to create safe and stigma-free workplaces. This special online event, hosted by NJBIA, will also provide businesses with the information they need to connect employees to free or low-cost recovery resources.

IFPR Senior Vice President Connie Greene, and Vice President Michael Litterer will lead the hour-long online program, “Supporting Recovery,” and discuss how recovery support services – often available at little to no cost to employers – can help workers remove barriers to recovery.

IFPR is the largest provider of hospital-based recovery support services in the U.S. and the largest provider of free tobacco and nicotine treatment services in New Jersey. With more than 30 years’ experience in substance use prevention programs, recovery supports and social care services, IFPR is widely recognized for its training and educational programs for schools, agencies, businesses and healthcare organizations.
