Rich Uncle Pennybags, aka Mr. Monopoly, was live at the Cape May County Zoo this week looking for feedback on which area businesses and nonprofits should be part of the new “Monopoly: South Jersey Shore Edition” coming in June 2023.
Top Trumps USA, under license from Hasbro, is asking for public input to decide which well-established South Jersey businesses and nonprofits should be part of this historic way to honor the Garden State. Top Trumps USA is the Amercian division of Winning Moves International, creators of classic games and puzzles.
“MONOPOLY: South Jersey Shore Edition” will replace the classic board game’s famous Atlantic City squares, from Boardwalk to Park Place, with new South Jersey businesses, nonprofits and landmarks. The South Jersey Shore board will also include a customized Community Chest, Chance playing cards and money.
“South Jersey has an incredibly unique identity as ‘The Place for Family Fun,’” said Brooke Gorman, representative from Top Trumps USA, on Thursday. “From bustling nightlife to beautiful beaches, boardwalks and everything in between, we are excited to create an accurate portrayal of what visitors and residents love about the shore.”
Top Trumps is soliciting recommendations from the public about which South Jersey landmark should be included as squares on the board. Businesses and nonprofits are also encouraged to reach out directly to the Top Trumps USA if they would also like to be part of the new board honoring the South Jersey Shore.

MONOPOLY: South Jersey Shore Edition debuts in June 2023 and will be sold for $39.99 in stores and online at retail partners, including CVS, Amazon and more.
