On this past weekend’s episode of “Minding Your Business” on News 12+, NJBIA Director of Economic Policy Research Kyle Sullender joined to discuss the good and the bad in the latest Indicators of Innovation report.
New Jersey finished tied for fifth with Connecticut out of the seven regional states in the 2022 report, released earlier this month. But Sullender told host Bob Considine there are “a couple of reasons to be optimistic as we look forward.”
“When you look at the recommendations NJBIA made in 2020, the last time we did this report, quite a few of them have seen progress,” Sullender said. “And you wouldn’t expect to see results from those recommendations right away. Some of them were enacted only over the past 6-8 months.
“So, although New Jersey did slip a little (from the 2020 Indicators report), we have reasons to be optimistic about where we’re heading.”
